A Year of Healing: Your Impact in Action
By Dr. Mowae Apisuttipanya (Dr. Mo) — Be Well Child Care Foundation

Dear Donors and Friends of Be Well Child Care Foundation,
As we look back on the past year, “thank you” feels like an understatement. Your generosity has been the literal lifeline for children facing medical challenges that seemed insurmountable. Because of you, we aren’t just providing “treatment”—we are restoring childhoods and returning hope to families who thought it was lost forever.
We are proud to share an update on how your sponsorships have changed the lives of two very brave little boys.
Baby Cinco: From Survival to Sunshine

After 2 years of multiple treatments since June 13, 2023 we are overjoyed to announce that Baby Cinco’s medical case is now officially closed. Born with Hirschsprung disease—a painful condition that prevented him from passing stool—Cinco’s early life was defined by emergency surgeries and the daily struggle of a colostomy bag. But your support changed his trajectory.
After a successful corrective surgery and a dedicated recovery plan, Cinco is now a thriving 5-year-old. His surgeon has officially discharged him after a number of visits, confirming he has normal bowel function and no longer requires medical intervention.
He is now living happily at Bilay House Orphanage. Your donations continue to fund his daily care and are helping us secure the education he needs to build a bright, independent future.
Baby Siete: A Brave Victory Against the Odds

While Cinco celebrates a closed case, Baby Siete has also just overcome the fight of his life. Siete, a 2-year-old from a remote hill tribe, arrived with life-threatening abdominal swelling.
Because he was born in a remote jungle without access to medical care, a congenital condition (ureter stricture) went undetected for too long, causing severe hydronephrosis and, ultimately, complete kidney failure on one side.
Thanks to your contributions, back in August 26, 2024 we transferred Siete to specialized children’s hospitals in Bangkok for critical testing, including renograms and ultrasounds. To save his life, surgeons successfully removed the right damaged kidney on April 10, 2025.
We are happy to report that the surgery was a success. Siete recovered well and was discharged in October 2025. He can now live a healthy life with one functioning kidney. Your support covered everything: the surgery, the diagnostic tests, and the complex logistics of transporting him and his mother from their remote village. Currently he is back home in Myanmar.
Building a Future Together
These stories are a testament to what is possible when a community decides to care. However, for every victory like Cinco’s and Siete’s, another child is still waiting for their chance.
Baby Fern, who was born with a complicated heart condition known as “Tetralogy of Fallot”, will be seen by a cardiologist soon at Children’s Hospital in Bangkok. We will keep you posted if further surgical treatment is available.
How your sponsorship continues to change lives:
- Life-Saving Surgery: Funding the specialized procedures that families in remote areas simply cannot afford.
- Critical Logistics: Covering transportation and safe housing for families who must travel hundreds of miles to reach life-saving care in Bangkok.
- Holistic Recovery: Providing the nutrition, education, and stable environments (like Bilay House) that allow a child to not just survive, but thrive.
We invite you to continue this journey with us. Whether through a one-time gift or a monthly sponsorship, you are providing more than medicine; you are providing a future.
On behalf of Siete, Cinco, and all of us at Be Well, thank you for being their heroes.
With hope and gratitude,
Dr. Mowae Apisuttipanya (Dr. Mo)
